OUR JOURNEY
THE TIMELINE
Building Sydney's Premier Volleyball Environment
FOUNDATION & ESTABLISHMENT
Founded in 2023 in Sydney, SyrioVolley Academy was established by three passionate co-founders of Chinese background who shared a bold vision — to introduce disciplined, high-performance Asian training philosophies into the local volleyball landscape.
From day one, our mission has been clear: To create Sydney's premier volleyball training environment built on structure, intensity, accountability, and long-term athlete development.
SyrioVolley entered:
- ◆Division 4 Men's & Division 4 Women's in the Sydney Volleyball League
- ◆Division 3 Men's in the Sydney Super League
It was a year of identity building — setting standards, establishing culture, and introducing a new approach to training in Sydney.
ADVERSITY & RESILIENCE
Our second year brought significant challenges.
Due to unforeseen family circumstances affecting two co-founders, leadership transitioned to the remaining founder, who stepped into the role of Principal. At the same time:
- ◆The club faced $5,000 in debt
- ◆All previous team members departed
- ◆The program required complete rebuilding
Yet this was also the year that defined our resilience. Two volunteer managers stepped forward to help rebuild the club from the ground up. We relaunched competitively with Division 3 Men's and Division 3 Women's teams in the Sydney Volleyball League and introduced our Zodiac Series Training Jerseys — a symbolic restart of the Syrio identity. Adversity shaped our foundation.
BREAKTHROUGH & EXPANSION
Through persistence and disciplined rebuilding, 2025 marked a turning point.
Financial Stability Achieved
The club successfully broke even and regained structural stability.
Competitive Growth
- ◆Division 2 Men's & Division 2 Women's entry
- ◆Additional Division 3 Women's team
- ◆Division 1 Men's & Division 3 Women's participation in the Good Neighbour Tournament
- ◆Division 2 Men's earned promotion to Division 1
We also launched our Intensive Skill Development Program, opening our structured training model to the wider public.

A refreshed logo and visual identity aligned with our long-term direction.
Strategic Collaboration
A competitive partnership with Lynx Volleyball Club, strengthening our Division 2 Men's program.
Competition Innovation
